Regulation and Police Checks
All organisations providing care or nursing services must comply with the Care Standards Act 2000 and the National Minimum Standards. Services are regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our current rating is the highest attainable, being rated Three Star (Excellent) for both our Nursing and Domiciliary Care services.
Our latest Inspection Reports can be viewed on the internet by visiting the CQC website at www.cqc.org.uk and following the links to Inspection Reports. You can also obtain copies of reports by telephoning the CQC regional office on 03000-616161 or upon request directly to Everycare.
Before entrusting your nursing or care requirements to any organisation that is unknown to you, we strongly recommend visiting the CQC website and checking their latest inspection report. The last few pages of the reports contain Statutory Requirements (where standards have not been met and the situation must rectified by a set date) and Recommendations (where good practice recommendations are made). You will hence be obtaining a professional, subjective opinion, verified by inspection.
All grades of staff are checked against the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) database and a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure obtained prior to confirmation of employment and placement with any client. They now incorporate a check against the Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) and the Protection of Children Act (POCA) Registers. These checks are undertaken by Everycare, as we are an authorised CRB ‘Umbrella Body’. We renew our staff CRB Disclosures every 3 years.
As a member of the United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA), we are required to abide by their Code of Practice for all our home care services.
